The Artist – Pat Balder

The Artist - Pat Balder
“The music is the trick and Pat Balder is the magician”.

Pat Balder is a master vocalist and master storyteller who, with thousands of performances over the course of a 25-year career, has astounded audiences nationwide by his ability to sing some of the most demanding songs in the Billboard #1 repertoire. According to the Star Tribune, “…you’ll close your eyes and wonder if it’s the original recording when you hear him sing, he’s that good.”

Pat Balder is the ultimate showman who has pieced together the fabric of our musical past to deliver a riveting and spirited homage to the hit singles from music radio’s platinum decade.

In an age when ‘idol’ has otherwise turned musical art ‘idle’, Pat’s artistry and commitment to audience connection remain the hallmarks of one of America’s most invaluable performers.

Born and raised in the tiny town of Foley, Minnesota, Pat Balder has been called ‘the heartland troubadour’. During the 1979-1989 era, Pat was signed to Polygram Records and Publishing where he served as staff songwriter and artist. Over the years, Pat has shared the stage with members of Cher, Janet Jackson, Kansas, Michael W. Smith, Whitney Houston and others, bringing his energy to audiences of hundreds or thousands.

When not creating the glory of rock on stage, Pat lives in MN with his wife and his 3 little rock monsters-in-training.
